who are you
To start working as an assembly worker at DAF Trucks, you recognize yourself in the following profile:
- You speak Dutch or English
- You are available 40 hours per week
- You are willing to work in Eindhoven
- You are available to work in 2 shifts (07:00 to 15:30 and 15:30 to 00:00)
- You are physically able to lift parts weighing up to 20 kilos
- You have technical work experience or a strong technical aptitude
- This is your first job at DAF
what will you do
As an assembly worker, you will work in the hyper-modern truck factory. The site is enormous, measuring the size of about 125 football fields. You will work within a fixed team of approximately 15 proud colleagues on an automatically controlled assembly line.
Together, you will transform a bare chassis or engine block into a complete, ready-to-drive DAF truck. Your tasks will include:
- Mounting crucial parts such as the crankshaft, pistons, camshaft, or gearbox.
- Installing the engine into the chassis, mounting the tires, and placing the cabin onto the chassis.
- Working with various advanced tools and machinery at a dynamic and fast pace.
