Learn more about life at IKEA at /li /br /ul /br /brh3RESPONSIBILITIES /h3 /brul /brliDesign, build, and maintain backend services and APIs that power the IKEA Kreativ platform. /li /brliWork hands-on with Python and Django, contributing to both new features and existing systems. /li /brliCollaborate closely with Geomagical Labs engineers in California on platform design and system integrations. /li /brliParticipate in scoping, designing, and implementing new API features and backend subsystems. /li /brliImprove scalability, reliability, and performance of backend systems used by millions of customers. /li /brliWork with other IKEA service teams to build integrations across the broader Home Imagination Platform. /li /brliContribute to healthy engineering practices, including: /brul /brliCode reviews to ensure code and architectural quality /li /brliWriting and reviewing technical and design documentation /li /brliDriving effective automated testing and operational excellence /li /br /ul /br /li /br /ul /br /brh3DESIRED EXPERIENCE /h3 /brul /brliStrong software engineering skills and excellent computer science foundations. /li /brli3+ years of experience with Python and Django in production environments. /li /brli3+ years of experience with SQL, preferably PostgreSQL. /li /brliExperience using Celery or similar background task processing frameworks. /li /brliStrong English communication skills, both written and verbal. /li /brliA collaborative, empathetic, and positive working style. /li /br /ul /brh3Nice to have /h3 /brul /brliExperience with containers and container-based deployment. /li /brliExperience working with Google Cloud Platform. /li /brliExperience building low-latency, customer-facing systems. /li /brliExperience with DAG or pipeline orchestration tools such as Airflow. /li /br /ul /br /brh3Together as a team /h3 /brpWe're the ones who make it possible for people to have a smarter life at home and a hassle-free and rewarding shopping experience.
