Position Overview

We're in search of an exceptional Lead Engineer to join our innovative team. The ideal candidate will have a proven background in working through complex projects, with our technology stack of Laravel, PHP, Vue, MySQL, and MongoDB.

As our ideal candidate, you'll be able to:

• Write quality code that is efficient, reusable, and easy to understand.
• Construct robust tests to ensure our systems are running smoothly.
• Participate in peer code reviews, providing detailed and constructive feedback.
• Create technical design documents that clearly illustrate system designs.
• Think creatively and critically, owning problems from inception to resolution.
• Share ownership of multiple, highly-available microservices from front to back.

You not only understand the 'what' and 'how' of your work, but you deeply comprehend the 'why'. You are a broadly skilled engineer with experience in developing web services, building always-on systems, and working across a variety of technologies and service layers.

Basic Qualifications

• Extensive experience with Laravel, Vue, MySQL, and MongoDB.
• PHP: 6 or more years of experience
• Laravel: 5 or more years of experience
• Vue: 5 or more years of experience.
• Knowledge of Linux, Docker
• Prior experience as a senior software engineer/developer
• Basic familiarity with core aws offerings, RDS, EC2, ECS, S3, Lambda
• First hand experience with larger codebases and how to best architect them to scale
• Ability to implement product requirements and Figma prototypes into functional, reusable, and scalable components and features
• Analytical, organized and high attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to guide and lead large-scale, high-impact projects.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
• Outstanding communication and teamwork skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and time-management skills.
• Experience in the mortgage industry
