Senior Manager/Director - Data & AI Business Consulting and Engagement Strategy Lead (FMCG/CPG/FMCH), Amsterdam, Netherlands

We are looking for a Senior Manager/Director - Data & AI Business Consulting and Engagement Strategy Lead (FMCG/CPG/FMCH) to join our Data/AI team in Amsterdam, Netherlands. This is a hybrid role with occasional monthly trips to the client sites in Western Europe where necessary.

You will help senior business leaders translate growth, margin, consumer and productivity priorities into clear, value-led Data & AI transformation agendas. You will operate at the intersection of industry strategy, value creation, Data & AI and execution, helping organizations determine where to invest, which capabilities to build and how to convert Data & AI investments into measurable business outcomes.

This is a business-first, advisory-led role for someone who understands the economics of FMCG, CPG or Fast-Moving Consumer Health businesses and can credibly engage senior Commercial, Marketing, Supply Chain, Digital and Data leaders. You will move from ambiguous business problems to prioritized value pools, transformation roadmaps, business cases and tangible proofs-of-value that are enabled by Data & AI.

Partner with senior executives to translate corporate and functional priorities into actionable Data & AI strategies and transformation roadmaps, framing strategic choices and trade-offs regarding where to invest and what not to prioritize Identify and prioritize high-value opportunities across growth, margin, consumer/customer impact, productivity and working capital, shaping transformation agendas across Commercial Excellence, Revenue Growth Management (RGM), Marketing, Consumer Engagement, Innovation and Supply Chain Connect individual use cases into coherent business capabilities and portfolios that generate cumulative and compounding value, building robust business cases and value-realization frameworks quantifying benefits, investments, dependencies and sequencing Define target-state Data & AI capabilities, operating models, governance structures and ways of working Take strategy beyond recommendations by shaping pilots and proofs-of-value that demonstrate measurable business outcomes before scaling, while mobilizing and steering multidisciplinary teams across Business, Data, Product, Architecture, Engineering and Operations Lead change and adoption strategies to embed Data & AI into commercial and operational decision-making, and support opportunity shaping, proposals and account-growth initiatives Develop industry-specific consulting propositions, playbooks, points of view and reusable assets while mentoring consultants to ensure quality of thinking, executive storytelling and delivery Support opportunity shaping, proposals and account-growth initiatives Move the conversation from “what AI use cases could we deploy?” to “which business value pools should we attack, what capabilities do they require, and in what sequence will they create the greatest enterprise value,” then oversee execution Strong experience in strategy consulting, business transformation, Data & AI advisory or relevant industry leadership (Senior Manager/Director level), with prior experience within top-tier consultancies is highly desirable Significant domain experience within FMCG, CPG, Consumer Health or a closely related consumer business, supported by a deep understanding of commercial and operational value drivers across Revenue Growth Management, Commercial Excellence, Consumer/Shopper Analytics and Supply Chain Proven ability to engage, influence and up to C-suite stakeholders, translating business challenges into value pools and strategic choices Strong understanding of Data, Analytics, AI and GenAI and their practical application to consumer-business challenges, including experience designing Data & AI operating models, governance or portfolio-management mechanisms Demonstrated track record of shaping complex business or Data & AI transformations from strategy through to pilots, proofs-of-value and scaled delivery Commercial mindset with experience contributing to opportunity development, proposal writing and account growth Strong structured problem-solving, executive communication and team-leadership skills to mobilize multidisciplinary consulting and transformation teams Readiness to undertake occasional business travel to Spain or France Practitioner mindset: not just delivering analytics or strategy projects for an FMCG client, but understanding where value is created in a consumer business and overseeing execution across business value pools
