As a Senior SAP Consultant Education at NTT DATA Business Solutions, you play a leading role in SAP projects within the higher education sector. Operating at the intersection of business and IT, you help universities and higher education institutions optimize their student lifecycle processes, including curriculum management, examinations, grading, and graduation.

As a senior trusted advisor, you oversee end-to-end business processes and translate them into robust, future-proof SAP solutions. You drive predictable, high-quality delivery across implementation and migration projects, ensuring successful outcomes for both clients and project teams.

In addition, you play a key role in strengthening the team. You lead by example, mentor junior consultants, and inspire colleagues by guiding them through complex challenges and change initiatives. Your expertise, leadership, and collaborative approach help both clients and team members achieve lasting success.

What will you do?

As a Senior SAP Consultant Education , you will lead the design and delivery of functional SAP Student Lifecycle Management (SLcM) solutions within implementation and migration projects for higher education institutions. You oversee the entire student lifecycle, ensuring seamless collaboration between business stakeholders and IT teams.

Your responsibilities include:

• SAP SLcM Consulting: Translate higher education processes—such as curriculum management, examinations, grading, and graduation—into effective SAP SLcM solutions that align with regulatory requirements and the client's operating model.
• Process Analysis & Solution Design: Analyze and optimize end-to-end student lifecycle processes and convert business requirements into functional designs and SAP configuration specifications.
• Workshops & Decision Making: Facilitate workshops and Fit-to-Standard sessions, gathering requirements, documenting process flows, and guiding key decisions.
• Business & IT Collaboration: Act as the senior functional point of contact for system integrations, data migrations, conversions, testing activities, and defect analysis.
• Project Delivery: Contribute to predictable, high-quality SAP project delivery by managing scope, planning, risks, dependencies, and overall project progress.
• Quality & Standardization: Drive continuous improvement by standardizing methodologies, templates, and best practices across project teams.
• Stakeholder Management: Bridge the gap between business and IT by working closely with key users, process owners, project managers, architects, and developers.
• Coaching & Continuous Improvement: Mentor junior consultants and actively contribute to improving processes, team performance, and customer outcomes.

What we’re looking for:

• At least 5 years of experience as a functional SAP consultant within complex organizations, with solid expertise in process analysis, configuration, testing, and change and incident management.
• Proven experience delivering SAP implementation projects, with a structured approach to scope management, requirements gathering, documentation, testing, and go-live readiness.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to model and translate end-to-end business processes into practical, sustainable SAP solutions.
• Experience in or affinity with the higher education sector is a strong advantage.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build strong relationships and explain complex topics in a clear and accessible way.
• A proactive, results-driven mindset with a strong sense of ownership and a continuous improvement mentality.
• A collaborative and coaching-oriented approach, enjoying the opportunity to mentor and support junior consultants in their professional development.
• Flexibility and resilience, with the ability to adapt quickly and perform effectively in a dynamic environment while managing multiple projects.
