You will support the Site Manager in leading the operation, driving performance, developing people, and ensuring excellent service for our customer. /ppWith approximately 1,000 employees connected to Impact /h3h3Operational leadership /h3ulliSupport the Site Manager in overseeing the day-to-day performance of a large, complex, high-volume logistics operation. /liliTake full responsibility for site operations in the absence of the Site Manager. /liliEnsure daily distribution and operational activities are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with customer expectations. /liliMonitor operational performance and take ownership of corrective actions when targets are not achieved. /liliEnsure operational plans, improvement initiatives, and agreed actions are implemented and followed through. /li /ulh3People and performance /h3ulliLead, coach, develop, and support your direct reports, helping to build a high-performing leadership team. /liliDrive employee development, performance management, succession planning, and absence management. /liliMonitor and improve key operational and customer KPIs, including performance, cost, quality, responsiveness, and absence. /liliTake ownership of financial and operational performance, supporting budget and operating income targets. /liliReview and approve operational expenses and support relevant financial processes. /li /ulh3Customer, improvement, and compliance /h3ulliBuild strong relationships with our customer and support customer meetings and Quarterly Business Reviews. /liliIdentify opportunities to improve customer performance and support potential growth opportunities. /liliChampion Lean warehousing principles and drive a culture of continuous improvement. /liliIdentify, support, and implement initiatives that improve efficiency, productivity, quality, and service delivery. /liliWork closely with colleagues from Finance, HR, QESH, Engineering, Continuous Improvement, Business Support, and other key functions. /liliPromote a strong health, safety, quality, and environmental culture across the site. /liliEnsure compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and relevant industry standards. /liliContribute to GXO’s sustainability ambitions by supporting initiatives that reduce environmental impact, waste, emissions, and use of natural resources. /li /ulh3What You’ll Bring To GXO /h3h3Experience and leadership /h3ulliAt least seven years of experience in operations, logistics, supply chain, manufacturing, defence, or another complex operational environment. /liliProven experience in an operational leadership role, such as Operations Manager, Senior Operations Manager, Logistics Manager, or a similar position. /liliStrong people leadership experience, including managing and developing teams. /liliExperience in a large-scale, high-volume, multi-shift, or 24/7 operational environment is highly desirable. /liliExperience with absence management, employee performance, and development. /li /ulh3Operational and commercial capability /h3ulliStrong project management skills, with experience managing complex projects involving multiple stakeholders. /liliThe ability to take ownership, make operational decisions, and translate plans into action. /liliStrong financial awareness, with experience managing budgets, costs, and operational performance. /liliExperience monitoring and improving KPIs and delivering against customer expectations. /liliExperience with Lean, continuous improvement, and process optimisation is highly desirable. /li /ulh3Qualifications And Communication /h3ulliA Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Engineering, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred. /liliFluent written and spoken communication skills in both Dutch and English. /liliExcellent reporting, presentation, and stakeholder management skills. /li /ulh3Personal qualities /h3ulliA confident
